Looking for advice on writing press releases

I am writing my first press release for the launch of the Entre app and could use some advice. Here are a few pieces of advice that would be greatly appreciated: -Do's and don'ts - Strategies for reaching out to the press and getting them to actually read it - How effective do you actually think they are? - Best resources you have found for writing them Thanks :)
